After being closed for almost a whole month we re-opened our renovated store on March 10th. Everyone loves the new airy atmosphere. The last major change was back in 1981 after a fire. That was when we installed the hung ceiling. Well, the ceiling is gone and the sky's the limit! The brick wall that was hidden by the sheetrock all these years is now exposed. We now have state of the art LED lighting and are using 60 percent less electicity than before our renovation.
The store started as a wild idea of Bob's in 1975, and here it is 2012. Time certainly does fly. That makes us Long Island's oldest independant natural food store. We carry natural and organic products in our grocery, produce, body care and vitamin departments and a wide selection of gluten free foods
People are flocking to our cafe in the rear of the store. There are 2 smoothies to choose from(which alot of people have said are the best they ever tasted), fresh organic vegetable juices, wheatgrass, wraps and salads. I make hot vegan gluten free specials that all the regulars (and the newbies) love.
There is a new dining counter for additional seating
